I was going to get upset over Last Epoch disabling family share but now that i think about it they really don't have a choice.

It was a foolish idea for them to allow it to be on to begin with if they intended for this game to have any respectable trade economy. If you are actually going to prevent gold selling you need to have some sort of barrier too entry so that you can prevent more people from selling gold than you can stop. They have my full support in this matter if they actually manage to stop all the gold spam with these measures.

Gold seller exist because the base design of the game is simply bad. There is a good reason Grim Dawn doesn't have gold sellers.

If you want to have an economy that incentives trade period you are creating a situation that is vulnerable to botting unless you have counter measures in place to prevent it. Not letting people create infinite accounts for the purposes of botting with 0 cost is a good start. Now they just need to ban people who try fast enough before they actually get a chance to turn a profit and they might actually nip this situation in the bud.

If this solution doesn't improve the gold selling situation and they fail to nip this market in the bud before it fully emerges and let it continue on like Blizzard does with all their IP's sure i'll agree with that line of reasoning. I'd guess a good start is that they didn't leave any vulnerabilities that let people create infinite free accounts for the purposes of botting. I'm just saying the game doesn't generate enough interest to make botting worth while.

Maybe you can't get into the game right now; which hey if that's the case and you wern't trying to bot i'm not gonna try to rub salt in the wound must be frustrating. I actually didn't know if the game was working today or not because i hadn't played it yet today but i just got in no problem.

It really isn't. And most of LE's woes boil down to a pointless live service being forced on the customers.
