HELL NOVA ANARCHY EXPLOSION RUNE MASTER 9000. Description below:
Use elemental nova - convert to fire damage, why? Because burning ♥♥♥♥ is cool, moving on.
Use the fire shield - why? Because you can use it for defense and offense and it has a boost to all fire damage while activated.
Use Blink - why? Because it teleports you into the mobs where you'll be releasing the fury of Hell. Plus, there's a passive that increases your elemental damage after having used a movement skill.
Use the Rune Master main skill - the one that gives you bonuses when you do fire damage.
- then -
Run around in a circle and gather up all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monsters in the zone. Once all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monsters in the zone are on you like a warm quilt on a winters day...
1. Blink a short distance.
2. Use fire shield.
3. spam fire nova.
4. gather 3 fire glyphs from using fire skills
5. release hell with the rune masters main skill
Then laugh as the world burns around you.
What passives should you choose? anything that adds spell damage or crit chance, or Resistance pierce.
I am not a pro. Just a guy who likes burning stuff. Hope you enjoy.
You can use fire rush as a movement spell that works better than blink I think. I also think fire nova is a little mid. If you focus on ignite though, it's all gonna work.
To OP: Don't focus all your attention to the rune combinations. The class can work fine without it and the runes can net you passives too.
Runemaster is just insanely versatile. You can focus on one element (fire, lightning or ice) or you can just mix and match (although I think this is harder due to how gear works). Basically, pick an element you enjoy and go with that.
For a long time I ran firebolt (you can edit this one massively, it was my main single target dps) that spread ignite to everything, I used the skill that combines the 3 into a huge blast like the guy above me did, I used Fire rush as my traversal and fire ward because it's an insanely good defensive skill.
I still feel this is a game where you can just pick a class and wing it and do ok up to endgame, and probably into endgame for a bit. Id just roll one and see what you like, then try to find an endgame build close to it.
Fire Rush sucks with a controller because you cant really target far away to actually travel whereas blink I just hit a button.
If mid means - everything on the screen is on fire and dies. yes. its mid as ♥♥♥♥. all mid nocap dawg
Except ice mages, of course.
For example theres Greater Fireball spam which is just Fire Fire Fire
Theres Lightning Orb which is Fire Lightning Fire
Theres Hydrahedron which is Lightning Fire Fire
Etc...
So first you need to know which rune combo you are building around, then you can begin to look up build guides. However Runemaster is very dynamic. Theres more than one way to generate runes, for example with either skills or runebolt, then within runebolt you can fine tune it further and make runebolt only activate certain runes, etc...
Its almost never a 1 button build. Not only are there multiple skills you will be using, but you have to use them in the right order to produce the rune combo you want. Theres also a lot of interplay and synergies between skills to learn as well.
Mid comparatively to other skills but i'm assuming you haven't beat campaign yet. Not saying it's horrible, it can get the job done but any class can burn mobs early game.
