better than locking classes/characters/dungeons and other meaningful content behind a paywall in a game which you already pay upfront for. Although I'd probably pay for expansions to this game tbh. You can choose not to buy the cosmetics. it's fine.

people in dev teams do different jobs

an artist creating a new cosmetic is not going to add anything to fixing bugs or stopping server problems

they will carry on with their job regardless

You say this like it's hard to implement a cash shop. Trash tier scam games have implemented cash shops, too...so it can't be that hard nor cost that much time/effort.

As for making "the game better for all" -- those supporter packs are exactly intended to do that. People who want to support the developer beyond the initial game's cost are also funding future content development for all players.

Its how they are going to support the game for the next 10 years, it is fine because people who want to support the devs will buy it and you don't have to. You get a great game and the people who want to support EHG and its game get cool cosmetics for the great game they are spending hundreds of hours in.

It's definitely, 100%, undeniably the better way. All content updates for ANY games that want to be "live-servicey" should be free and the only thing beyond the initial charge of the game that they should ask you to pay for is cosmetics. Full stop. Period. End of conversation.

Let the stupids spend money on cosmetics so gamers can enjoy the game.

Path of Exile is good because everyone else is just bad. There is no alternative. Because everyone just copies PoE, exactly the same as Last Epoch. Does it mean PoE is good? NOT AT ALL. Season/Circle is a joke and an insult to intelligence. Not only does it alienate the players who simply no longer see any interest in playing the game at all.

Servers do cost money. Game sales alone won't keep the servers up forever. The cosmetics help with many areas for the developers. Everything the developer does costs money.

Harada from Tekken 8 made a big post on twitter(X) about this very subject because Tekken 8 costs so much and without any further cash flow coming in the servers wouldn't last long and have to shut down, which is why they introduced an item shop. To keep the game running beyond game sales.

1 skin provides more money than buying game. Like blizzard shows - 1 horse earn more money than entire starcraft 2. Stop being so emotional and research, think logically and use reality to make yours opinions. Not emotions.

Did I understand that correctly, Tekken 8 only works online? So if they don't have enough "income" it will just be closed and everyone won't be able to play anymore?

All resources in the future are intended for online use only. This means that everything new for Last Epoch is ONLY intended for online use. Offline doesn't get anything for years. Now if Last Epoch flops and people see the truth of what the game is like. In the end there is only offline mode with absolutely nothing. No cosmetics, no improvements, no innovations, no TRADE SYSTEM, nothing. Where is this system better?

This is delusional until it no longer works. This is not the better system because in the end everyone just copies this system and JUST GARBAGE comes out.
