Actually I am standing in front of Gaspar and the boss is completely impossible. How can he make his beam faster than normal movement speed? Just bad game design.
Monolith bosses entirely have to be nerfed. -50% dmg and -50% life.
EVERY (!) player should be able to REACH (!) empowered monoliths - without dieing 247 times running normal monoliths.
I mean come on.. this is no soulslike game.
It's harder than PoE, lol.
As for bosses they have some calculated damage reduction...this is done to extend the fight so the player has to involve themselves in the boss mechanics as opposed to just nuking them down in one go...
This is why most players are just stacking ward and damage reduction to avoid the situation the game is in.
The game is in a better state then it has been pre launch but this type of design philosophy is...
what, I am playing on corruption 700, meaning 700% hp and dmg, and monolith bosses are way too easy, if you are not braindead, you can dodge most mechanics
As said before, it's not a soulike, it's not a one dodge perfect timed which make player survive. You have to see your life drained, etc before you die, and now the game actually doesn't give this, to much big damage from nowhere in 0,5s.
In h&s you have to make difficulty step, and it's have to be smooth, so the player can progress, can access to these steps and feel when it's become limit.
So you are 700 corrupt, ok lot of streamer/youtuber are, but some other players, which are not stupid and play other games (some h&s) don't get a good feeling about progression and difficulty. Even when you just want to play for fun, have own rythm, and don't follow a meta build in maxroll like a sheep.
Without crit avoidance .. gettin hit by mobs with 200% more crit dmg obviously delete you.
Crit avoidance, reduce damage from crit, endurance, endurance threshold and a decent HP pool is quite mandatory :)
To beging at lvl max mob (= end game, before it's just lvling) it's have to be, lvl 100 mob for lvl 100 character with 75% have to be normal and smooth farming, without crit avoidance/reduction, armor or other. Corruption is there to up the difficulty (lvl 100) when needed (and it's infinit, so all people/build can find there limit).
I have done lvl 100 monoliths when I was like lvl 76.
