How is venom spire balanced?

So today i play runemaster i have cap poison res , i have 6k ward on me ,i have shield with 30% damage reduction on me and flame ward on me on top of that .... i literally just started map i didnt even see what it is ....and boom venom spire 1 shot literally just touched me i didnt even have time to move or anything ....touches you ...dead .... like did you guys ever test this thing ?? i tanked t3 julra all spells with that same character and she didnt kill me but i die instant from a touch of a spire?
