Will closing a game during the monolith of fate reset my progress?

I didn't realize how long it takes to do this thing so I'm like 5-6 stages in but I have other stuff I gotta do too. If I close the game, can I pick up where I left off?

finish whatever battle stage map you were on, and when you're back on the waypoint map log out as normal and it's waiting for you upon your return
