what if someone is deep into endgame and doesn't want to level up the same character just to get to the point of that same character? Playing games should be fun not a chore. People like the grind, but when there are unnecessary walls like this that bar players from enjoying the game it makes no sense. I didn't realize asking for features in a game is complaining? It's actually insane the amount of degens defending poor design choices.

In POE you can basically go ham with your points and end up at a point where you have a 'bricked' character that is useless in end game and takes less effort to make an entirely new character then to try and 'fix' it due to how POE is costly on skill points etc

I assume Last Epoch, even though it has the mastery reset system would want to avoid situations where players make themselves extremely underpowered due to wasting all their points trying to reach deep into 4 masteries when you only have enough points to do 2

Would be a nightmare for them to playtest classes and ensure all archtypes can clear all content if you have that amount of variation

What do you want from the other 2 masteries right side that you cannot have right now?
I'm a little confused on your stance. People just want to have the option to play the other masteries not use all your points into each mastery? Let's say im 20 points into rogue and 80 somethin points into falconer. I just want the option to switch the main mastery spec to the other one to play something different with the same character such as 20 points rogue and 80 somethin in bladedancer etc. Without having to make another one and level it up to the same point as my main. I'd just farm new gear for the new build and store each mastery builds' gear in the stash tabs.

Idk how people can't understand that lol

If we had a way to test these things out before locking in our choice, maybe we could make an informed decision instead of regretting our choice and loathing another 3 hour grind to get back to choosing a class.
or...hear me out, you could look on u-tube for the countless builds there, see which one you like and go from there.
Seeing a class and feeling out a class are vastly different things. Runemaster looks so cool, but when I tried it I felt like I spent more time trying to remember the rune combos than actually fighting. I would have liked to test out the mechanics of the class before locking that character into playing Simon Says to cast spells.

For some it's poor design. For some it's great design encouraging making different characters instead of having 5 characters that could do everything.

If you want that I might suggest playing d4 because that's exactly like that. Do one .. have all.

I'm on my second rogue now. Because I quite enjoy her. Getting to monos takes 4 hours tops. That's pretty fast. Figuring out your route to monos as fast as you can also is really fun.

What's a tittle?

Mids don't like good ideas like this. You are arguing with lv0s with missing frontal lobes.

The thing is though if it was in the game no one would mention it as a bad thing. I get that people like playing the game how it is, but from what I've been seeing on discord and here a decent amount of people would like the feature.

NO

Takes about 30 minutes max to get back to the mastery pick once you start a new character.
Hans Dampf Mar 2, 2024 @ 1:58pm
I would support that. It could cost something so you don't do it all the time but would be great to remove this lock.
CashMcFly Mar 2, 2024 @ 1:59pm
Its good the way it is.
