Void Knight Anomaly skill "exacerbate" node

It says Time Rot inflicted by Anomaly lasts longer and has additional Void Penetration

but does it really affects ONLY Time Rot stacks inflicted by this skill? I mean, can the game even discern stacks from Anomaly and stacks, from... idk, Void Cleave? Anyone knows?
