No worries
it's a right of passage
Everyone went up to Lagon, got slapped, said 'wtf', came to complain, were told on tips to beat them + how to improve builds, fixed builds and learnt fight then walked through it and now recommend the same to the next person who comes in to repeat the cycle
After him I respecced from defence back to my dps glass cannon, sure I guess I could have learned his moveset by dying over and over and really learned him but you also have the option of just going super defensive.
This isn't a brag, i'm just confused about how he is hard. Do people rush to him under levelled? Do they build glass cannons?
i look at this, and i dont know if i should be proud of my stubborness and determination, or be ashamed that i wanted to slave extra hours to beat both the story and the monolith bosses with the build i created myself, before swapping to something properly sourced.
honestly think i only managed it cus rogue invuln dash and 100% dodge proc on smoke bomb.
anyways, yeah, this. you can kill a boss with a thousand papercuts, but cant come back from being a puddle of blood on the ground, better survive than risking shattering when someone sneezes at you. or on lagons case looks at you funny.
You should feel good to overcome the hurdle that Lagon/Majasa/Epoch Bosses presents
It means your build works and you have thought it through
I'm not very good at arpg and thought this was the most fun boss in the game up to that point. watch where the waves are coming from and avoid the eye beam by checking where the eye is looking and it fell in about 3 minutes on my third attempt. It's an avoidance boss to prepare you for the endgame stuff. It's the last major hurdle for people who are getting into, or getting back into the type of game that this is. It was a lot of fun and again. I'm not very good, out of practice by a few years on these games
The important thing is to learn the attacks, the phases and find the safe zones.
As a hint, the safe zone during phase 1 of the fight is to hug the tentacles at either end of the stairs.
