Why does it matter if my profile is private- what are you suggesting exactly lol
I like the game- I positive reviewed it- but no UI scaling is crazy, especially since the devs have been saying it is coming for 2 years.
It’s not life or death- never said it was- but it’s important to myself and a lot of other people.
+1 to wanting UI scaling and other very basic, very standard accessibility features that help out gamers with disabilities.
Hi, "Lv0 poster" here with a private profile, lemme clear some things up for you, maybe make the situation a bit more understandable.
First, a lot of posters are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creeps. Maybe not you personally, but in my experience making any sort of request for accessibility, for representation, for equality, all that, it leads to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coming out and flaming and profile stalking and sometimes keeping it up for MONTHS. Some of them are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nutters, over the simplest of things. The simplest, kindest, most empathetic of asks, quite frequently leads to hate and slurs and death threats, and having that follow you from place to place is just honestly exhausting. It's better just to not give people like that the opportunity, hence the private profiles.
And then, the all caps? Why do you think that is? This is not a new request. This is not a request that I feel ever should've had to have been made in the first place but that's not a huge issue on its own, some people don't understand, some people forget, it happens and no one is perfect, but now it has clearly been made for quite some time and still, at time of posting, remains an issue. I can tell you, after looking through posts about this very same topic recently trying to figure out when it first came up, the posts -weren't- all caps at first. They were, for the most part, polite. Gentle. A "hey, I exist, I'd like if I could experience your product as intended too, my money also spends, can you put in a little effort and please work with me here because this is a legit disability issue?"
But it never got done, and the people who are like "oh, it's petty", well, I find it kinda funny how often an issue's pettiness is quite often determined based on who it's happening TO. Happening to someone personally? For a lot of people, -priority one-, even if it's not something like this which literally deals with accessibility for people with disabilities, and is a kind of common decency thing that is widespread in the industry and as such, kinda ridiculous that it's still not here. But then, the issue -isn't- happening to someone personally? Oh, it's -petty-, who cares about it, it's not worth looking into! This happens so often. So, so often.
And it's always about empathy. ALWAYS. Empathy and the lack of it. This issue, the response to this issue existing from people requesting, from people reacting to those requests, from people NOT acting, all of it. It's about empathy.
