About Lagon

Hi ppl, I'm with a falconer lvl 55 and I was destroying everything in my path with balistas + dive bomb and smokescreen. But in the fight against Lagon I was obliterated man, 3 times in a row using dash and every skill, but this boss banished me, Lagon is too much op or what is the deal with that boss?

My resistances are good but the damage is insane in this boss. Idk, I will farm more I guess.

Stay near the tentacle in the lower left. You will only have to dodge the ice circle move.
It will still take quite a while though.

You just have to look for the telegraph where he lifts himself a little bit and the eye turns red. When you see that, that's when you dash over to the other side. Not when the beam starts.

I recorded my fight against him, as a Falconer as well, level 56 at the time. Was prepared to die fighting it since Ive had read so much about how strong he was, so I wanted to record my first rip'd character - but in the end, it went alright.

From my experience, you can facetank nearly everything if you have a bit of healing. Just run from the beam or dash past it. The other attacks don't really seem to do much.

Go insta killed like 6 times in a row.. maybe glass cannon Warlock works in the first 30 hours.. but not later...lul

My void knight got manhandeled to hell and back till i equiped just two rings that gave me something 26% extra elemental restiance and he went down easy. Grind for a short while and i bet you will find a neck/ring that gives you the right restiance and try again.

Lagon has exactly two moves (one of which has two variations) you have to dodge and neither of them is even remotely difficult to deal with once you understand that you're supposed to dodge them.

Eye beam from the right? Move left.
Eye beam from the left? Move right.
Big ice circle on the ground? Stop attacking and move out of it.

It's simple, really.

Yup, this is confirmed and works well. You only have to almost kill just one of his two tentacles to get to the cut scene end. Only have to worry about the white glowy one shot circle. My HC character used this technique! So definitely works!

Many of the bosses are completely over-tuned for a first play through.

I find that it's pretty simple if you simply move from left to right and do this all the time. Since all his important abilities lock on a position you were a few moments earlier, if you keep moving you easily avoid pretty much everything.

Bosses are a difficulty spike in this game. But after some encounters with them you know what to do and when and how to prepare for the encounter.

Lagon is basically the "gear check" for first-time players. Anyone without sufficient tankiness or mobility just gets oneshot.

Was face-tanking Lagon with my healing hands/smite Paladin. Never droped below one third health.

Getting increasingly annoyed with that fight.. it just sucks.. Sorry to say but thas by far the worst part of the game. Why is that nessecary? A first time campaing playthrough should not feel like Dark Souls. Again.. make it hard.. ok.. but oneshotting is just bad game design. I have maxed out my resistances and i am already a few levels above.. the only thing i can do now is grind.. ok i guess..
