That's kind of funny since it came up twice as worst class so far. Care to elaborate what makes it the best for you ?
His skilltree has no direction. I really like the idea of the Forge Guard but pls give him some Love.
Agreed forge guard seems confused though - he seems to have focus on:
Melee physical
melee fire (which the paladin does better)
shield tank stuff
throwing physical
summons
It's kinda hard to really make a build out of it. Unlike the falconer your summons are pretty useless unless you focus on them (falcon gets a bunch of bonuses mostly for free), but a ton of the class skills involve summons!
I've started to level a paladin and necro - both are low 30s. Paladin is ok but not quite as fast as spellblade, but I got a nice 1h mace that spreads fire so my fire build is still fun. Necro is silly and my pets are destroying things while I sit back being lazy.
I've not yet played anything "bad" but some specs are definitely faster or slower.
As much poison aura as possible.
As much poison on hit as possible
Wandering souls that shoot poison
Cruise around in reaper form with haste on at all times stacking 30 stacks of poison on everyone who sees you instantly, killing everything on contact.
Only tradeoff? You need to leech health or you'll eventually kill yourself, and if you turn off aura of poison you probably will kill yourself instantly.
Best is definitely subjective but you can't go wrong with the three newest classes: Falconer, Warlock, and Runemaster. Other than Summoner style gameplay those three cover everything else. Necro and Beastmaster are both very good for pet builds. Void Knight, Paladin, Druid, and Lich all have a few really fun and powerful builds.
I'm not sure about Marksman and Bladedancer, I'm assuming they fall into the same category of "a few fun and powerful builds." since I don't hear much negative about them.
Edit forgot Sorcerer and Spellblade. Sorcerer probably falls into the Shaman/Forge Guard category. Unless you really want Black Hole, there's no reason to not play Runemaster. Spellblade is definitely in the "a few fun and powerful builds"
