Endgame very monoton?
I am through the story now and it seems there are only monolith (maps) for endgame activity. I did around 30 now and it gets already boring. Maybe i miss something but even diablo 4 (which is really a poor diablo game) kept me longer motivated. The most action rpgs i could play a few hundred hours before i have such feelings but here i am at only 30.
I dont want to rant here, the game was cheap and i had my 30 hours fun but after all the hype i was expecting somehow more.

I have over 60 hours of boredom and dislike put into this game as I decided to give it a fair shake for a couple hours the first time I played. Then everyone said I was wrong and the game was not as bad as I said so I gave another couple hours and found it to be just as un-enjoyable. Again I was told it gets better and the update has made it so much better, so I put in 20 more hours, still boring. And most recently I put in a bunch more hours with the 1.0 release because supposedly it was supposed to have magically become one of the better arpgs. Nope it is still boring and still gives you the illusion of build diversity while offering no real choices.

Very definition of insanity here.

End game activity kind of varies depending on your Faction. CoF has different farming methods through prophecies. Merchant is well... you just buy your ♥♥♥♥.

Mostly it is monos, but there are dungeons for crafting, and some target farming stuff. But yes, mostly just monos right now. I find them fun, but PoE map system is a bit better. Even though they are practically the same.

I am not new, was playing all games of this type thats why i am surprised that i am already at a point where the motivation goes down. Most other games like grim dawn or titan quest or even torchlight kept me playing much longer, thats why i was asking if i maybe missed something good but the dead goat post gives me little hope:)

and how do those varies from killing monster and bosses to farm loot?

all the end game I've found is monoliths, dungeons and arena. That's about it.

The reason I only play Hardcore in ARPGs is because of the finality of not having the game become an endless grind without closure. You eventually take a misstep at some hard content and it's game over, try to do better next time.

But in this game.... that approach doesn't seem to work, because even the "endgame" seems to be so easy that I'm not sure I can die at all barring going AFK or something.

But there's still quite a bit of stuff that I haven't seem on the endgame, so who knows.

I'm holding my hopes for the Endless Arena. Want to see how far I can push before it finally kills me.

They must have something which is missing here (at least for my taste). But i am not finished yet, will test the dungeons and arena tomorrow.

For me, personally, it's difficulty. I'm not talking about ultra-hard look-mamma-im-oh-so-elite stuff, no, but just something that keeps you.... well, paying attention.

Torchlight 2 endgame was extremely simple, much more so than this game. It was just random map after random map with some random affixes.

But I had more fun with it than I'm having with Monoliths so far, because it was harder. Torchlight 2 threw some strong enemies, unfair traps, dangerous bosses, etc in those maps.

There's still stuff I'm yet to see in LE, and I really, really like almost everything related to character building here, so I want to be hopeful.

Doing the same thing over and over more or less, is pretty typical for the genre. Only thing I hate about the system is monoliths drop F all untill you do all of them, unlock empowered monos and do corruption 100+. Regular monos are a waste of time and thats just bad game design.

Yes, this game has worse end game than D4(which has terrible end game..).

The End Game is getting dull doing the same thing over and over.

It is nice doing a Dungeon run every now and then.

But my issue is - once I get the best gear I can get reasonably farming Monos and building Corruption, what then? Start a new character with the Gear I farmed for them just to get to the End Of Time and be bored again?

Maybe I'm over reacting because at this stage the game is beat already.

idk...

I don't know if the Key drop rate increases later on, but so far I really wish I'd drop more Arena Keys and Dungeon Keys.

They are far more interesting than the Monolith, for me.
