It feels like trading is unimportant

Actually, the whole message is in the subject.
I passed the acts, 81 lvl, closed the monoliths, switched to Empowered. All my stuff is picked up from the floor +crafting.
I actually kill everything I see, I can't die. At the moment, I just don't see the point in trading. In the same PoE, there are unique that have a very strong influence on your build, it is impossible without them, and they are very difficult to get. Here, it feels like unique are not needed.
Am I wrong?

But it does work. You can buy and sell on the Bazaar if you have the faction points to do so. You gain faction points just playing the game. So if you want that kick butt item in the Bazaar. You farm faction points and gold til you can get it.

And it's clear the content creator is quite ignorant. You can fact check his words right away in the same video.
"I have no resistances" (has 75% void res in a void themed map)
"I didn't spend half my talent points" (has 17 point spent in his main skill, 20 spent in his other four skills)
"naked" (still near-BiS idols, blessings)

I have no problem with getting large amounts of power from levels alone. It's one of the things that makes Last Epoch accessible to a wider audience.

And some of us also like to get gear really fast. I am on my 5th Empowered mono char with almost min/maxed gear and Rank 10 merchant. I had my first char almost fully min/maxed before the end of the first day cus i could buy the gear i wanted.

You thinking that trade is not needed is just an Opinion at the end of the day.

I simply replied to people who replied to me, looked up the content they mentioned and proven that the described video really doesn't exist. I don't really think we've gone off the rails.

I also don't have any issue, so no need for me to talk to the devs.

A bad example, initially there was an auction for real money in D3. Blizzard was afraid of the associated costs and other legal obligations, the auction was closed..

I enjoyed the RMAH for the money making side of things and i know they shut it down because it got too much attention about how much money it was making around the world without paying taxes etc

But the loot system that was around in D3 1.0 was so horribly bad you were -better- off with your time and investment to sell anything you found and just buy the things you needed for your character with real money on the auction house

Because you had 0.001% chance to get the loot yourself for your own character back then

That's what i was referring to, if trading is needed to 'fix' your character then the loot system is not working properly

Trading should be a choice, not necessary
