Arena key of memory

Is arena key of memory something new that was added to the game, or a rare drop?
Never seen one until today.

From the detail changes, the patch numbers shows it been in the game for a bit. Since 0.8.0

They are pretty commonly found in monoliths, i must have an entire stash tab dedicated for this key only.

Not super rare. I think they let you start an arena at level 100, or half the level you got to last time you were there, whichever is lower. Something like that, idk, I never do arena.

I have almost an entire stashtab full of them. I just vendor them now.

Echoes with them as a reward can start popping up in lvl 90 monos, but rarely. Somewhat common in empowered.
