edit: especially for someone like me who cant really make up my mind on what i want to play lol. so i lvl a new toon.
Just interesting on why this was a concern over some of the major bugs
Play the game you want to play it... and stop worrying about how others play it maybe?
lol thats the problem with people they want others to suffer there wants....especially when something like this has no direct effect on them it makes it even more funny that you care so much about how others play
You level super fast in soulfire Bastion and you can get to running echoes in no time at all.
I got to 45+ in a couple hours without even trying. What's the point of not playing the game to 90+ and then just copying a build off a guide? lol
People want to just stand there and reap the rewards while other people do the work, imagine having these people as a work colleague.
Probably because it was easy to do. The change sounds like a pretty simple while loop to me. A couple really simple lines of code to just slap in, test out and push, not a hard thing to put in with the other changes they were making. That's my guess, anyway.
Because there was no risks or downsides to doing it that way before the fix, probably. No-risk, high-reward concepts are the opposite of ideal.
The way I see it is, if they really wanted to "fix" powerleveling, they would have just made it so you can't gain experience if your level is significantly below the level of the area you're in. I don't know how powerleveling works in this game, because I've never done it, but it sounds like you can still powerlevel with a friend if you're careful? All that's changed is that you can't just sit there invulnerable and milk free experience for nothing. You have to accept the high risk of instant death and a waste of time for the high reward of insane amounts of experience if you have a high level buddy who'll carry you.
Which, again, is fair and understandable.
