minion loot abundance

I have been playing for lil over 36 hours, mainly on just 1 main character, I have taken my time with it, not rushed anything, figuring out the campaign, I'ts been fun so far

But now my mage is around lvl 50, and the dificulty seems way too much, mainly because, I'm still playing with some gear that I "crafted" at around lvl 25 - 30, why am I still using that?

because the loot has been nothing but trash, 90% of all loot I got is for minions, the game is asking me to make a new character and play minions

is this just bad luck? or ridiculous quantities of minion related loot is something common?

is there some sort of bug that makes minion gear much more frequent?

this doesn't feel like RNG anymore, this seems on purpose

Same, I main a mage and everything that drops seems to be minion or inferior to stuff I am wearing which is level 30 and i am level 50.

Only the mage class has no minions. Of course its abundant.

I have a minion build and all I get is stuff for everything else lol

I have a loot filter and I only see stuff that's relevant to me.

1) Refine your loot filters
2) Most classes have minions, so yes there's a lot of minion gear.
3) Use your crafting supplies to remove/swap minion affixes for other affixes. Removal, Chaos, Insight, etc.
