Did they? I haven't gotten to him yet and I played very little for a year or so before release. I remember it being near-impossible (for me) with anything but a strong ranged build.

What did they do? Put it in a spoiler text so as not to annoy off :)
They just changed the fight a bit so it wouldnt be bugged for minion builds.. works great now.

Yes they should fix his mono version letting you run down the stairs like a chump.

Have a traversal skill ready. Smack left tentacle, oh no beam is here - hop to right tentacle and smack it, oh no beam is here, hop to left.... rinse and repeat

Not all travel skills are made equal. Try Sentinel's Lunge or Shield Rush to pass the beam and report back how it went. I will give you a hint: badly.

The above does not mean Lagon is impossible. You just have to be aware of its attack pattern and pre-emptively move to other side. If you are too slow, you can hug further-most corner on each side to avoid the beam in most cases.

If you were complaining about crashing/disconnecting during the fight and now needing to run the dungeon(s) and kill Liath again to get to him, I could see that being an annoyance. The Lagon fight itself isn't that bad.

You run back and forth between the tentacles while watching his eye. If you're getting 1-shot, it's because you don't have any resistances OR you are not moving enough. Spec yourself out of some of those + damage passives and pick up some + resistances/defenses. Healing spells/skills, minions, and distractions (totems) can help as well.

My Beastmaster with scorpions, heals, and totems took about 12 tries. Part of that was because I crashed a few times, and I didn't have any resistances. 40 lightning and 60 cold resistances did it for me.

Also, I thought Majasa was much more difficult. You may just want to quit now if you can't kill Lagon.

Oh by the way, you can just skip Lagon by going to Temporal Sanctum and defeating tier 1 Julra. You bypass Lagon that way in the story and go straight to the desert and the go for Majasa.
Should be piece of cake for you Lagon haters.
Not to mention you can go do monoliths, and get stronger that way.

My issue with it was when playing a beastmaster with storm crows. Those crows are made of wet tissue paper, and you can't resummon them like a necromancer can its minions. Have to stand near their downed bodies and eat mechanics to try to get them up again.

If you can't get past this fight, you're just going to have issues after it. Get more sustain and maybe Cold & Lightning resists.

I only fought Lagon with a sorcerer and a void knight. The void knight was a bit harder because of the longer breaks between damage. But both were reasonable fights in campagne and monos. Majasa und her matrons are way harder.

Its very hard, depending on your class, for when you reach it...which is right around lvl 50. It certainly does not feel like its scaled to level 50.

Its a much more difficult ordeal than mono lagon, because those barrier tentacles arent locked in place.

aye, and this isnt stated anywhere in the game....the only hint you get is the back door to temple when you get the one side quest.
