What exactly is end-game?

I just finished the monoliths and all quests. I'm told to upgrade corruption by killing the shard boss or whatever he is called to reset the echoes and increase corruption... Problem is this is EXCRUCIATING slow. Im tredging thru hours of easy more content and still hardly increasing my corruption. I'm not getting any drops what-so-ever. Not improving my toon in an way what-so-ever. What am I missing here? This is god awful boring end game.

You're missing nothing. Grinding increase in difficulty is excruciatingly slow, and there's no other endgame.

If not getting upgrades check loot filter or learn crafting. Maybe both. That's said endgame is a bit on dull side

The loot filter doesn't change what drops you know that right? It merely hides what you don't wanna see. My loot filter is simple. Hide white/blue con gear. That's it. So I'm not missing anything.

Its true loot filter doesn't make high roll stuff drop but sounds like you need a stricter filter so you can see what upgrades are. You can mix that w/crafting.
Are you over level 90 or something?

You can also gain far more stability to farm the boss the more corruption you have while doing nodes that are far away from the starting center node.

At 300 corruption you can do the boss after like 5-6 nodes. But yeah if you stay at lower corruption lvls .. the grind drains your soul.

The grind gets quite better and more fun the higher corruption you have imho. It just takes a while to get there at the beginning.

I also advice to use the merchant guild. CoF sucks. With the MG you at least make progress regardless what you do. Coupled with the gold blessing you can make millions pretty fast doing just high corruption monos collecting gold.

Right now..empowered monoliths + the dungeons for crafting legendaries, gambling, and gold sink. 1.1 is supposed to add at least one "pinnacle boss" and I think the developers have noted they want to focus on adding to the end game along with the standard balance patching and campaign extensions with the major patches going forward. I don;t know what the timeline is for any of that though.

Just getting to higher corruption takes forever and ever, though. Maybe at 300 corruption you get the boss every 6 nodes, but to get that far you need to do the boss like 10 to 14 times... and in my experience that's an hour each at minimum. Also, it's only for ONE monolith. So if you need to farm several different monos for both good blessing rolls and their unique rewards........ Snail pace.

corruption is like extra magic-find%
the higher corruption, the better the dice rolls for exalts and LP on uniques.

You can sell perfectly rolled idols on market for 20 mil or so.

True. It takes a while. I don't mind that much tho since most nodes take one minute tops.

True endgame is to play the game until it burns your GPU or CPU.

I agree. Having accidentally created a monster of a build that shreds everything I was surprised to see just how long it takes to even get through all of the timelines let alone grinding corruption. I imagine the speed on Mono will be improved as the game ages and gets more content but this is literally it for 1.0. The MoF is meant to be where you play till you're exhausted with LE.

True. I can't handle corruption grind for more than maybe a day. It's very bland and needs a lot of fillers and other mechanics to make it more interesting. They say GD doesn't have endgame, but honestly i prefer GD endgame to this, by far.

Like all arpgs. grinding for rare items and characterattachments! :) - then maybe die and rince repeat (the journey to full stacked toon). play hc btw.
