Game keeps crashing my PC randomly :(

Hello everyone,
i'm 30+ hours ingame and I love it...
now the game keeps crashing my PC randomly after like 30min ingame.. or sometimes after 3 hours.. my screens turn black.. and the PC instantly shut down.. no crashreport or anything..
Anyone got same issues or a solution?

Get more fans for your case, check for windows updates, see if you are behind on Bios update,etc..

One game won't make a PC crash or freeze and it just being the game. Something is up with your computer, maybe temps are to high, maybe a driver issue,etc... I have played 30 hours on this game and have zero crashes, although I have had many many bugs haha (The game needs more polish imo).

Hope you get it worked out! If it was me I would check for windows updates, check my temps and then add another fan or two, then I would check to see if there are any bios updates for my motherbaord that I am behind on and I would also try out a different gpu driver (Not necesarrily a newer one), etc.. (Could also be a hardware problem where a PSU or ram stick are dead and causing this issue).

To me though this sounds alot like a temp issue and your computer is shutting down. Good luck and I hope you find out what is causing this.

i am also having the game crash every single time i try to play, only since the 1.0 patch and after 100 hours gameplay before that, no issues with any other games. just this one.

If you open task manager while the game is open, how much of your committed memory (task manager - performance tab - memory (below CPU) - under "in use") is the game using? I had a similar problem and figured out after many many tries that the memory leak issue this game has is eating up my committed memory, and as soon as it reached max capacity (without game 9.5/21GB, game running starts at 19.5/21GB and ramps up to max) and hit 21/21GB my screen would go black, everything crashed and i sometimes had to hard reset my PC. No one was able to help me figure out what it was.
If you can keep an eye on that on the side and if its the same issue I had, i can recommend the project Lasso program that can automatically trim down memory usage of the game. Haven't crashed since.
edit: I also had to lower my ingame graphics to below mid and some even low so my usage wasnt ramping up that fast, also made my PC fans not go wild after 20min of play

Same here. Game is really fun, but crashing every 15-20 minutes is not. Will come back to this after next update otherwise unplayable.

Have you tried capping your frame rate ? It might also help to set your max CPU power in Windows to 96-97% (vs default 100%).

Yeah this started after the newest update. Crashes after about 5 minutes in the game. Temps are cool as a cucumber, framerate capped at 60 game still crashes and ran fine before the latest update, and it won't let me close out just kind of sits in the background until I restart my pc. Will not be booting this back up until I know it isn't going to destroy my pc.

That's where I'm at as well. Multiple updates this week and I can still barely make it to the next waypoint without the game crashing.

Also no problems with crashing until.the last update. Yesterday i tried the first dungeon and it crashed. Key wasted.... Devs should think about some kind of crash detection that allows to join in again.

I played over 40 hours without any crashes but ever since this latest patch I crash every time I play. Sometimes 30 mins in sometimes an hour. It seems very random when it happens. One time i'll be neck deep in slaying creatures the next i'm standing in town doing nothing and the game just freezes then crashes. Weird thing is I can still hear what's suppose to be going on in game such as minion noises or casting sounds but the screen is froze then crashes eventually.

Have you verify the integrity of game files? you could be missing a file.

I started experiencing the same type of crashing right after the latest update as of 01/03/2024. Had been banging my head for a while trying to figure out what was wrong and turns out my firewall was blocking the new version of the game... Funny right?

This is what I tried while I was trying to fix it:

1. Check if the Last Epoch is Compatible
2. Hard Reboot your Computer Device
3. Reduce your Computer’s Utilization
4. Verify the Game Files of Last Epoch
5. Manage your PC’s Temperature
6. Update your PC’s Windows Version
7. Turn off the “Overlay” for Last Epoch
8. Uninstall & Reinstall the Steam Launcher
