But I find today gamers people fort that fact have the attention span of gnat and if they can't get instant gratification they move on to the next shinny object
hardcore players can play 8+ hours per day.
so someone can easily play more than 100 hrs in 2 weeks.
if there is no challenging content with repeatability after that, and they ve beat the biggest challenges game has to offer, there is no real point to farm or develop the character further.
5/600 of them are running trough campaign trying new builds. Reaching endgame and soon as i hit empowerd, repeat cycle.
It's forcing you to rush to the end.
the way things are going soon it will be weekly resets
I remember when seasons came out in D2 was once a year a major event
I remember in Everquest back in the day it took 18 months to get my main to the max level, and it took a lot of grinding to get there. Today's kids want instant gratification and quickly. I am semi-retired, and am in no rush.
Yes and that’s not ok either.
These games don’t have enough content to justify slowwwwww xp gain without it becoming grindy as hell.
In this game everything is solo play, I have not encountered the need to group up, and the real end game seems to be the ladder system.
3 months per cycle is hardly forcing, you can play at your own pace and enjoy it how you see fit and still have a high level character, legacy is still around by the way.
Rushing to end game is the name of the game for most experienced Arpg fans doing wacky builds or testing broken ones, as in games like Baldur's Gate 3 you want to take your time and enjoy the story, at least that's my line of thought hell i haven't even finished Elden Ring and i got it 1 year+ ago.
