There's gear, mastery passives and falconry all have nodes that give your falcon a %age of your stats.
The other skills also have nodes that transfer your stats,
I use a bow so as the OP said: "So which damage affixes should u search for? Physical damage over minion damage? Increased damage while wielding a bow? Minion melee damage?" all of this works but where it becomes tricky is for additional physical damage or fire damage. The bow skill I use is explosive trap with the node "Blast Rain" so I deal fire damage with my bow. Explosive Trap doesn't do a lot of damage but it reduces falcon's skills CDR.
Are + bow physical damage and fire damage useful or not for my build?
Edit: Same question for melee attack speed. Melee attack speed increase the attack speed of the falcon but does it make falcon strikes faster?
