Lagon fight meant to get you to quit the game?
The Lagon fight is a sheer wall for me, I've on 3 separate play sessions fought my way to this boss and played out the remainder of my available time for the evening to not clear him.

Is this meant to get you to quit the game? Are the developers not able to see stats that this is a huge stopping point for players in the game?

Yeah I get it the boss telegraphs but there is some RNG here and getting stunned by a claw then eye blasted combo for example is instead death.

The huge moon circle is easy to avoid once you know about it and should rightfully one shot you but his eye-laser mechanic moving around and in some cases pinches me against the wall because I was on the wrong side when it began is what gets me .. well that plus his insane health pool.

I even spent a whole night farming cold & lightning gear and got my cold & lightning resistances up to both above 75% and his eye can still one shot me...

Can I go grind mobs and out level this guy?

Any help from players other than 'get good'?

His eye beam doesn't oneshot. It's a continuous damage spell, and you can even stand still and take the full brunt of it, as seen here for example:

https://youtu.be/Vb9y1V1WTiA?t=69

Most commonly players that can't beat Lagon have low health, no sustain and no damage reduction. Players relying solely on potions.

From your "insane health pool" description, you probably also have low DPS, but that isn't a problem. You'll eventually kill him even with a weak build, as long as you have a way to replenish health. Here's my reply from another Lagon post:

Resistances are not a solution for tanking Lagon. Resistances are mandatory part of ALL builds, so that you won't be taking extra damage from everything.

If you want to tank Lagon, you need:
- The basics: high enough health and maxed resistances
- The sustain: Damage Leech, Health Regen (or both) during and after Lagon's attacks
- The defenses: one or more mechanics that reduce damage taken

You can read more and find examples in my guide:

i killed lagon after 20 try as a same level with a 4 pet necromancer build, one friend killed first try as falconer 4 lvl under him and one friend after 160 try with a beasmaster 3 level over him !

But i just rage quit now, so many oneshot mecanic in this game at endgame, i'm getting older and i'm not a ninja, i need a sec to react and not 0,0005 sec before dying !

It's sad because the game got almost everthing right for me as a H&S but the game is so hard to me and i say it, when i finished all Dark souls, nioh, elden rings etc..... a little sad here !

It was probably not the level but gear luck and skill synergy. Some builds get good all around buttons, some need to invest into separete combos to do similar perf vs bosses, but often makes it up by other quality of life stuff or sustain.

This is a gear checkpoint, try to improve resists: cold, lightning, physical, armor, health, endurance, etc.

HC characters should probably get a token system on the first character each cycle for these bosses, it is too much to lose 15-20 hrs for a single half second misplay.

lagon is a probleme since he appears in the game as early acces.
Need to add, dev have nerfed the minion phase, some month ago, the waves was more in number, it was near impossible to dodge all !

And there still a probleme, her laser frost corner attack, can touch you if you are too mutch on the left or on the right as the attack is not localised scripted.

Another probleme, with 75% frost or lighting resistance, on normal monolith, it s still 1 shot you as sentinel with high bloc chance and high endurence.

I was hoping for 1.0, the boss will gonna get a remake, but, they do absolutely nothing about it, and they know lagon isn t the best part of the game.

I honestly cannot comprehend how someone can die in that fight.

He has a single skill you have to avoid, it has a second long telegraph - and even if you fail to avoid it, it doesn't really do that much damage, any character can facetank it for long enough to move out of the way. Most can facetank it for far longer.

I am curious enough that I would like to watch a video of how the people that complain about Lagon are playing that fight so I can glimpse on what exactly is happening, because otherwise I really can't wrap my mind around it.

Always keep an eye on Lagon's head, his eye starts glowing red when he's about to shoot his beam. Keep moving all the time, don't remain still. The fight gets much easier when you learned the patterns and what to look for, in order to read the telegraphed attacks.

Same for me. I don't understand how this can even be called a "wall". I died once to it and never ever died again with 3 different classes.
On the other hand, I have to disagree : his beams oneshot most of squishy classes. If it hits you, you're dead, but it's so slow you can avoid it with ease. I really don't get it.
I wonder if those people are aware that most dashes have invincibility frame nodes. You also have skills like Rebuke that allow you to tank anything, etc.

Idk. I saw peoples have hard time with him, yet once I had to fight this boss, it was super easy. Not trying to flex or anything, but his mechanics are very clear and doesnt force players to be super precise. Compared to most of Lost Ark bosses, it was like breeze.

First time fighting him was hard but once you geht the mechanics and evade the claw/eye ITS easy peasy
Tyyne 10 MAR 2024 a las 4:36 a. m.
It was hard before they added the tentacles, now it's just a slog.
Macfiej 10 MAR 2024 a las 4:41 a. m.
We are at the era where ppl quit over boss that requires you to move out of big easy to see cricles and big beam that is also super easy to see.
sdev09 10 MAR 2024 a las 4:47 a. m.
had some issues but it get's easy if you watch the head, then you can evade all of it. what made me thinking are the bad animations, the stunlocks and freeze of animations. if all fights feel like this...

leveling wont help, think there is damage scaling.

I haven't played Lagon recently - last time was like 2 years ago, but it is the one fight I truely loved. I never had a hard time with it either, one shot it on 3 different characters - sentinel, archer rogue and primalist. Mind you, this was before you had masteries at this point too...

Yes, it is bullet hell, but it is mostly jut an endurance run. Dodge ♥♥♥♥, get your tiny hits in while dodging ♥♥♥♥ and dodge ♥♥♥♥ some more.
Not sure how I will hold up now, but definitely gonna stick with that strategy :)

I can only talk from my own limited experience(only fought him once and killed him first try), but get some resists to counter the type of damage he does(I think it's physical, cold and maybe lightning), some life leech or something to keep your health full and some wards. I've been playing a lich so I've not played one of those broken OP builds that're around either. I hope it helps!

This is a poor example, because warlock is broken and will be adjusted soon.
