Game has still bad performance and not DLSS
Hi,

Played the game in EA but it has still performance issues and no feature like DLSS, i have a very good " Highend-PC " but within this game its still struggling.

Why not implement features like DLSS, i have now downscale some grafiksettings but the performance is " OK " but not as i like it.

Same with other people here?

Thanks.

What are your PC specs?
Runs seemlessly on my i7-8700k, 3070, 32gb ram
~90fps (capped)

I have almost the same specs, minus a tiny bit from my CPU, and i hit 16-24 in a lot of areas, no matter my graphics settings.

Why isn't there DLSS, that's just silly.

"High-End" :csgohelmet:

Sounds like your Pc got a problem. Got stable 60 fps capped on Max. without ever going below that.

Do you play on 4k? or does your cpu suck?

Calling BS on this or you just don't remember the drops. I'm running a 4090 + 7800X3D on a WC loop and i'll get frame drops and with certain enemies/areas it can make me chug around 20 FPS until i've killed the mobs.

Most of the time it'll run fine but there is definitely something in this game that causes performance issues and it's not hardware.

sounds like your machine has issues matey, i'm on a 7700x , 32gb ram and a 4080 super (oh, and air cooling , not that it matters but hey) and it's butter smooth. never drops below 120 fps on 1440p ultra settings.

Your not alone multiple threads with people with high to mid to low all seeing varying performance; Mine works fine in SP but on MP its a dead dog if I hit a reflective shrine. Yet the wife's laptop has no problems whats so ever.

The amount of people who seem too think its "your PC brah" is astounding.

Look at the min specs on the store page this game can run on a potato, my PC plays all my other games perfectly fine. This one however is a bit hit and miss.

Nvidia needs to add the DLSS support to the driver. Ask them why they haven't done it yet. You do realize Nvidia/Amd work with each company to write driver support correct? It's not the other way around.

for those games which refuse to use built in up-scaling tech, use lossless scaling instead. it works with this game and almost all others.

Just use the old fashion method, lower your resolution in borderless mode ;)

The game resolution is buggy and resets after reach restart. So you'll have to reapply the resolution you want every time you boot.

Again I'll call BS on that. But if it's easier for you to blame my hardware and keep your head in the sand, go for it.

My pc running every other game fine on max settings without huge drops like this, but yes.... Let's blame my hardware. Given you dismissed cooling solutions as a possible problem, nothing you say is valid.

COuld be something in the game for sure.
Just saying I have my game capped at 90fps on Ultra setting, lowest I've dropped is 80

DLSS is always helpful and welcome to any game, both for performance AND increasing image quality, and anyone who suggests otherwise is wrong. With that said, this game's FPS drops on high end PCs seem to be caused by the engine, you can tell because the CPU and GPU usage actually go down when these drops happen, especially in the endgame maps.

So if those are the FPS drops you're experiencing, DLSS wouldn't fix them. It'd make the image quality better due to the superior AA, it'd increase general performance, but it wouldn't get rid of those FPS lows. I tested this, even with the game at 480p they still happen.

Mines capped at 144hz and yeah, for the most part the game runs at that.

But there is definitely certain terrain/mob combinations that just chugged the fps to death.

Also given how this game looks, I should be able to run at well over 200fps with no issues all maxed out.

Actually reinstalling windows right now and will run the game on a fresh install to see if that makes any difference.

Only did this a few months ago so I don't expect it to make any difference but can at least rule out something else.

Other games running fine means nothing. Each game itself is fundamentally different, even if built on the same engine.
I also have no issues and I am running the game on maxed at 2k with reshade and nvidias dynamic RTX vibrance filter.

While yes, it is possible the game may have problems on certain configurations, but even then its not entirely an issue with the game itself.

Best first step would be to simply check your hardware and see if it has any issues, then next step would be report it /. contact their support.
Because if it really is related to certain hardware configurations, it will never get fixed unless they get the actual reports in with details to compare to others.
