Can't 'unlock mastery' and lower Last Refuge's barrier

Not exactly the same as the usual being unable to enter the End of Time at all, rather I've tried killing Pannion and re-entering the End of Time several times now and I cannot complete the quest by unlocking my mastery.

I'm guessing the issue is because I unlocked my mastery on this character earlier in a multiplayer session with a friend who was a few quests ahead, before doubling back to try and mop things up... But nomatter how many times I talk to Elder Gaspar he won't give me the option to 'choose' and/or won't seem to acknowledge that I already have the Mastery.

Because of this, i'm guessing, I can't get the barrier removed, as I am repeatedly given the dialog about going to stop Pannion.

Any ideas/and or known fixes for this? Thanks~

So did you guys stop Pannion? I think it's the middle bridge right behind Caspar, if I am not mistaken.

I've noticed that quest progression in co-op is really borked. I'd suggest fully logging out and closing the game (if you haven't already), and if that doesn't work, try to join someone at the same stage of the quest you're at and let them pick their Mastery to progress and go with them to unlock the barrier.

Unfortunately, no. The only way I was able to progress past was by asking someone to help town portal me to the waypoint just beyond the barrier, then walking backwards to re-enter the town as though from the barred off side.

For whatever reason that jogged or overrode the questline and cleared it out.

When you skip campaign parts through clearing the dungeons, you do not have to go back to do the questlines but simply pick up the ones in the next city hub nearby where you come out. It's designed to overwrite main quest progress. You can still get all the passive rewards and idol slots. There are enough side quests to go around until you clear the campaign.

Maybe you triggered a rare bug, where you got stuck on some quest progress. Would have been useful to report it ingame through ESC -> bug report -> red button unable to progress character. With that data, they could have figured out the issue.
