Last Epoch

Last Epoch

Can you Multi-Class ?
Thinking of buying!

One of the many things I like in games are the verity. I like the idea of building unique toons with interesting abilities. Just to get the play style I'm looking for.

I've yet to see it in a video or anyone speak of it. Can you multi class in Last Epoch ?

Can I be that Paladin/Rogue. Warrior/Shaman ?

No, there is no multiclassing.
The best you can hope for is:
Pick a class you find interesting
Pick a subclass (IE Marksman Rogue)
Put points into another subclass to unlock those abilities.

When you pick a mastery (Marksman) you unlock that unique ability and cannot unlock the others. Masteries also provide different buffs to the character such as +attunement and resistances, or +1 companion summon limit.
It’s not a Grim Dawn or Titan Quest.
You can´t.

Each class and their respective masteries (advanced class) have their own identities and multiple way to play them depending on your own chosen skill specializations.

In a way it´s the very opposite of multiclassing. As you level your character, you will be able to specialize on five main skills that you can choose from the pool of around 20 skills per mastery. About 15 of them are non-mastery exclusive skills, while mastery gives four to five additional exclusive active skills.

The closest thing we have to multiclass is that you can pick some of other masteries minor passives. It´s not going to have the "multiple class at one toon" feel though.

You have 15 different mastery classes to select from in Last Epoch, and every one has one or two ways to go at it, definitely less creative for the player but a lot of choice.

Arguably more valid playstyles than some combinations in Grim Dawn, and especially Titan Quest can end up being, but you have less of a character fantasy as you can only stay within those class fantasy tropes the developers create
