Why PoE Players Hate Last Epoch
PathOfExile Super-Fans be warned:

- you do not need 1000+ hours to understand 5% of the game
- crafting has more than enough depth but can be done without the equivalent of a PhD in time and braincells invested
- you do not need 3rd party crafting simulators
- you do not need 3rd party build planners and autopilot path of building every league to play something viable
- you do not need 3rd party authohotkey macros to check prices on items
- you do not need 3rd party trading websites for trade
- you do not need to whisper a million people who are afk to get a trade
- you do not need a bazingajillion currency items to have a proper economy
- you are not forced to buy into pay2win stash tabs to trade properly
- people who say you can play PoE without p2w stash tabs like to eat noodles without sauce
- you do not need two dozens of 3rd party wiki articles opened at all time, bc the game has a proper ingame guide for almost all the stuff
- endgame is not having 500+ mobs on screen and 2000+ projectiles per second exploding into -20 fps
- endgame is not juicing t2 & t3 maps for braindead gameplay but maximum efficency
- your character does not look like a homeless hobo without MTX
- the game can be enjoyed while having a life and without a beard on your neck
- the game is not bloated by jizzjillions of cramped into decade old season mechanics
- the new player experience is fun and not worse than even EvE online's
- the game has damage numbers, which you can hide, if your a strange person
- the game has proper toolstips explaining exactly what stuff does
- unlike GGG, EHG developers said they will actually care about RMT and ban cheaters

That's nonsense, my friends and I love Poe, we've been playing Poe for years and are still playing Poe..... we like last epoch because it's the closest thing to Poe.....

So stop spewing hate with such topics.

He is not fully wrong, there are a lot of hate in general on the net agaist the ARPG paople are not plating, mostly going around Diablo, PoE and LE.
Its like a war were some people just need to smack talk the other games.

But don't you see! You can only ever play one game. You must choose! :archduck:

LoL, most LE fans are actually PoE fans too, because the QoL features that LE possess.
People want LE to be successful so hopefully GGG starts including similiar features in their game too.
Scroll of wisdom/portal scrolls should have gone to grave for good in PoE, like a decade ago.

Looks like they dense the currencies all down to gold. I'd enjoy that very much.

I like both. Shrug. Didn't know I could only like one. And I have spent a LOT of money in POE. I do, however, hate Diablo 4.

Believe it or not i can like both games AT THE SAME TIME. also you buy epoch for 35$ and put 35$ into PoE and you are fine for stash tabs.

What is it with this bitterness of LE fans? On reddit they blast anyone who says something good about D4 or PoE, but also hate any criticism of their game. As someone who desperately thinks PoE needs a good competitor, the fanbase doesn't help LE at all.

POE is complex but manages to force people into simplicity by preventing respec and experiments. so you have to follow a guide and dumb the game down so much, that d4 turns out to be more complex at the end

Side effects of copium and heavy marketing by EHG, combined with influencer/streamer videos on a daily basis. Marketing more than what your game offers usually backfires in a way, remember Cyberpunk release 3 years ago.
I am pretty sure most of those zealots will be doing the rudest negative comments about LE some time after the release, you will see.

Yeah, the difficulty of respeccing single-handedly makes PoE unplayable for me. What's the point of playing if I have to either follow a meta build to the letter, or delete my character when I inevitably fall behind the curve?

I find this pattern a bit strange.

When D4 first dropped judd was telling people he had his team taking notes as fast as possible. As time progressed mike would often "dunk" on D4 during the live streams.

With PoE EHG often speaks of having a close working relationship with Chris Wilson, and how important it is to EHG to be able to stagger the cycles so users can play both seasons. Well that was before the PoE 2 changes were revealed.

At the end of the day I think the different games cater to vastly different player types, and everything else is just the fallout of player pride.

You will soon realize that it's the same in LE or do you think that with your small number of playing hours you know how balance LE is? All you have to do is look at the rankings... but as always, the rose-colored glasses only fall off when you feel it firsthand. Someone who has no ideas of their own will have to follow guides in last epoch too, and they will all play the same thing because It's normal that some build is the strongest.... and since last epoch has far less build variety than Poe, this will be even more noticeable here.. but the complaining always comes later. and as long as a game is new to someone with little experience, everything else is bad ;)

In Last Epoch, each skill has their own dedicated skill tree, and can be freely respecced and swapped at the cost of a few skill points; you have accelerated XP gain if a skill is below the level it's "supposed" to be. Similarly, passives can be removed at will for a small fee in gold (which quickly becomes meaningless).

In Path of Exile, points can only be respecced through rare tokens gained from the story or heavy grinding.

It's not about how many build options there are, but how easily a novice player can adjust their build if they make the "wrong" choice.
