Auto Attack
Playing a paladin do we not get auto attack. So is the weapon just a stat stick then?

Warpath skill is basically auto attack. Not sure what you mean exactly.

I have an axe i cant swing it. that would be an auto attack. there a skill foir sure but that makes the axe just a stat stick then i would not give up a slot for just melee

you mean "Basic Attack" .. it's there in the skills. click the button you want to bind it too, then select it.

Auto Attack would be if Basic Attack continued to spam itself on its own

Any attack that says melee in the tags involves weapon damage and you swinging the weapon

There's no real auto attack button (there's a basic attack you can use but it gets outclassed very quickly by any other skill). You have skills that cost 0 mana and are used as filler to generate mana in between bigger skills. For Sentinel those would be Vengeace, Rive and Multistrike.

Thanks that make sense.

Thanks for mentioning the one bit that I'm finding a little bit odd. Most of the basic attack replacer skills are rarely your main attack. As pruitcake says they are builders or fill ins while waiting for another skill to have enough mana. Coming from Grim Dawn I find this a fairly big change as I'm used to mostly using basic attack replacers on my melee characters as the main source of damage.
