Reasons to play Online?

What exactly do we gain from playing online? Joining MP parties? Is any content being locked and not accessible to Offline chars when the game launches?

I don't really care about seasons/cycles/ladders as long as I can play offline and access all the latest and greatest content.

Currently no. For the first few cycles. Content will be rolled out to all game modes.

This could change once the game is in a proper 1.0 state.

Only thing we do know will probably happen is pinnical bosses. Being online only till it is killed the first time. Then it will unlock for offline play.

I had no idea these bosses existed haha, I stopped playing for a while in preparation for the launch. I played a few hours with an online character and even though I have 6ms ping it felt like loading new areas took ages. I understand they will optimise network on launch.

I'm hoping for a successful launch and overall success of the game. From my time playing EA I think LE has one of the best skill systems in the genre.

I want a character that I can play longer than 3 months and not miss out when it gets transferred to offline.

Pinnacle bosses don't exist in the game yet.

Online is online offline is offline nothing transfers to offline when a cycle is done.

What will happen is at the start of a new cycle ur current cycle characters will move over to legacy mode.

If u don't want to start fresh every 3-4 months. Play legacy. If u don't want to deal with online play offline.

Just be aware cosmetics cannot be used in offline mode

The current plan is no seasonal content in the seasons, so all you get is the season reset with no tangible changes.

No cycle and legacy mode is online only.

When 1.0 comes offline will be true offline meaning no cosmetics no global chat no trading.

U will have CoF faction in offline MG trading faction is only online
