AA game price... but is the game of AA quality?
I have seen some comments about the game saying it's pretty bad on quite a lot of fronts.
Apparently:
- it's very bad optimized
- servers are very bad, people are having dc issues, etc.
- the combat feels super clunky and not on-par with any of the modern hack and slashes (like d4 or poe)
- the skills and itemization is not very interesting
- there is 0 endgame
- story is super convoluted and overall bad
- the writing is quite awful

So now the question is - DO you think all/some of these issues might get fixed before the launch? Is there any hope for the game?

edit: I'm NOT TALKING ABOUT USD PRICES!!!
Also I was a bit wrong, this game's price is like 10-20% lower than usual AAA games.

I'll just go point-by-point if that works? (Also really really sorry about wall-of-text)

1. Optimization is kinda bad also there's a lot more missing textures this patch than previous ones barring like the very very beginning...

2. Can't speak to servers unfortunately I don't play online I'm not a social gamer with ARPG's not even interested in trading. Sorry homie.

3. Combat feels pretty decent, I think I'd need more an explanation of what you mean by that. Like animations? Mechanics? Need more info before I can give a better answer sorry my homie

4. The skills can be pretty interesting and the focus trees for them can do cool things, but I think the overall design philosophy around that stuff is pretty bad and itemization doesn't really matter much at all you can get absurdly powerful from just the passives so it's a design issue I'd say more than an issue of the skills.

4b. Had to expand so it doesn't become wall of text - A lot of really cool skills don't feel super great because of how this game treats mana and costs and that's the real sin imho so somethings just don't really feel equal and I feel kinda.. pushed in specific skill directions I guess? But the skills themselves are interesting the design philosophy just isn't

5. I mean it feels like there is kind of an endgame between monoliths, corruption and dungeons but it is a little lacking or seemingly built more for MP in mind? I wouldn't mind expanding that it isn't GREAT but it's at minimum higher than zero I think is a safe assessment. But you'll hit that ceiling a little too quickly

6. I'll treat the last two as the same is that cool? The writing and story are bad, they're bad and they suck end of story. It's uninteresting, boring and I couldn't care less about it. The story content is also so drawn out like oh my lord, if it wasn't for the passive point rewards and relic slot unlocks holding me hostage to even bother with it I would only do the bare minimum so I can go run relics and pretend it doesn't exist. It's an ARPG this is a murder hobo sim just let me go smash things and do cool things. I just don't care about... straight to DVD quality time travel plots. Oh and the backgrounds are so barren and uninteresting.

Obviously it has, what are you even talking about?

Yall seem confused.
A modern release of a AAA game runs about $60 box price and has for almost 20 years.
Some publishers of AAA games have relatively recently confirmed that they are or soon will be raising the prices of their AAA games to $70, including EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Sony, Square Enix, Microsoft.

You can create offline characters, have no shared stash between online chars.

Just how 34$ is AAA price?! Game even went on sales.
Your next post is gonna be "genderlocked characters, no buy".

Maybe in your country that's the case.
Here this game is definitely above the usual price tag for cheap game.

So far I have moslty seen negatives comments about this game.
I'm seriously thinking about buying it and I'm looking for some informed people that actually can tell what they plan to fix before the launch.

aaa game price? Ohhh kaaayyy. You do know aaa game prices are 60 to 70 bucks right? This is half the high end at 35. They wont notice you either way so it is up to your capable informed decision if you buy it or not.

Do you mean noone here is informed and everyone would want to know answer but they don't?

no I mean we all realize it is not a aaa priced game and thus have the capability to not expect the features of a blizzard game in an indie priced game. For the price this is a very feature rich game. Could it have more? Sure but then they would have to charge appropriately for the increased dev time.

He's asking whether the criticisms against the game are acted upon.
Not everyone can afford the money to just try the game, and even if they did, with the 2h Steam gives you, you may at most finish the prologue.

Which is intentional. They reworked the prologue for exactly that reason. It is the most polished part of the game.
In those 2 hours you dont see ♥♥♥♥ about the endgame, about late-game itemization, you will probably not see any of the games actual problems.
Which is why people usually look at criticisms first.

This person is literally doing the exact thing people get flak for when they dont do it and then complain "should have done your research and you'd known"

So what is the lesson here? Just buy and if you still think it sucks, you should have done more research? Or ask the community and be talked ♥♥♥♥ to because white knights feel the need to justify away all the games problems with "It's gonna get better, we swear!"

Anyway. I do agree that it's not an AAA game. But it's also not an indie game.
It's an A game? I mean Tencent invested into EHG to get the game going. SO there is significant backing behind it.

I'd say the game is currently not worth looking at too hard.
If you wanna have like 20h of building a character, finishing the story and maybe playing the endgame once, that's a fine scope, if you are looking for a deep build-driven game where you hunt for those exotic uniques that give you those niche but build-defining items, then it is not.

And if you push the endgame, then the game effectively becomes a Bullet Hell game, where your best bet at beating something is to be able to move out of effects that will most likely one-shot you, while, hopefully, having a build that needs so little attention, that you can do damage without using a whole lot of your braincells.

Where are you reading this? 90% of what you typed seems completely made up. the story and campaign are probably the area where they can imrpove the most. and they are working on that.

Itemization is about 100,000 miles ahead of d4. makes d4 looks bad.
loot filter again 100,000 miles ahead of d4. plenty of stash tabs.
more class customization than d4.
target farming is waaay better and crafting items is waaay better. than d4.

optimization seems pretty good. if it was unplayable then people wouln't play it. will have to see how there servers do on launch day.

combat feels good. graphics won't blow your mind or anything. but thats something that keeps getting better.

The endgame as far as i can see is just really good target farming and tough difficulty when it comes to corruption. not super stellar. but honestly a lot better than helltides imo.

and its $35. thats hardly AAA price and comes off as a troll question.
