Cause they said the decision is irreversible
You can go halfway up the other trees. But you can't swap between them. So your choice was irreversible. You will always be a "Beastmaster", you just can spend some points in the other trees to unlock some of their abilities or passives. You're not entirely cut off from the other two trees. There's even a silver chain with a lock on it to signify how far up the other trees you can go.
So technically you can spec into all 3 mastery's but your mastery will never change from the one you chose. If that makes sense.
