I want to be able to play a hardcore character but I don't want it to become a softcore character if I die.
Either they'e farming jester points, or they're just not that bright.
Oh I do, I have played a ton of ARPG and grew up with Diablo 2.
Best example I can use is Marvel Heroes.
It is online-only but it doesn't have seasons/leagues.
Leagues/Seasons does NOT define the ARPG genre.
I agree with trying out new builds, finding new gear, setting up a new build around that new set of gear for a different class or build.
However, I strongly disagree with making 'new characters'. Making new characters does NOT define the ARPG genre.
This is 2023, why are we still having this backward mentality of having to create a new character for every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ build?
When ideas like respecs, build loadouts and rebirth already exist.
If you really want to create 5 new characters every season, PoE already exist, just saying.
You clearly do not like arpgs so I dont understand why you care about this game?

Now pick a dictionary and look at what "entitlement" means. You are welcome.

On topic, what would be nice is if they added the season content for already existing characters after the end of such season. Personally i don't understand forcing the player to create a new character to enjoy the new content.
This only makes sense if you both have an absurd amount of time to play the game and it is actually the only thing you do in that time. But the looter hack'n slash genre is caracterized for playability going worse each generation...
