For example, I have a skill on my druid called maelstrom. In the skills tree, there is a node to double its damage, if I have >=60 Attunement on my gear.
I don´t know, if you can refer to it or it actually is like a stat like Strength, Int, etc., for my build it is more like an "enhancer", --> an attunement.

sorry im a bit dense with this... are you saying attunement on its own does nothing but can only be used with these "nodes"?

np bro - yes, thats what i was trying to write. You could look into your passive skill tree and your skills skill tree to see if there is a possibility to also profit off it, or it is limited to certain builds/classes.
I specced also passive attunement to make slots free, so I dont have to stack all 60 on my gear.
Would be nice, if this is possible for multiple classes, like an allround stat that synergizes with your build.

Certain skills scale off of different attributes. You can hover over (and hold alt) a skill to see how it is getting modified.

Many primalist and sentinel "caster" skills scale off of attunement instead of intellect, like the mage and acolyte.

It also gives +2 mana per point, although that is mostly worthless since you tend to care about regen and not total mana. There are certain passives which allow further bonuses based on attunement.

Also, there is an in-game guide which explains just about everything. Along with a search box. Chances are, if you don't understand something and put into the search, it will come up and explain it.

Comes from spanish "atún" and "ment" (or "mente") and means, roughly translated, "tunafish minded"

Literally just scroll over it and it tells you.

the best way to understand the stats in this game is to be aware of the tags on all of your spells and attacks.

As far as I know attunement is the magic stat for all primalists and sentinels. If there is something else using it, I have not seen it.

Intelligence is basically the same thing but for mages and acolytes.

Bottom line is read your tags.

An important stat that is linked to most minions and within some skill trees. It helps with power of these things that it is linked to. A good investment and part of several build guides. I wouldn't ignore other attributes that also boost whatever you are going for since usually there are 2 to 3 things that will boost something.

Attunement is the stat that boosts primalists and sentinels magical skills. For everyone else it next to useless as it other boost is a little bit of extra mana.

I give this person an award as this is the only needed explanation on the whole internet
