My thoughts on Set items
I never really understood set items in any ARPG they seem to take away from the fun of creating a build and veer you more to play a specific way. This may because of my time with Diablo 3 but I think Last Epoch should remove set items and just stick to Legendary gear and Legendary potential and just change the set items into Legendary gear.

Im not sure if EHG discussed their plans with set items but I really hope they just get rid of them.

And yes I am aware no one asked.

Agreed. Luckily sets consist of fewer items than in D3. I wouldn't mind if they just got rid of them altogether though.

Yeah, I feel that Set items take up too much space just to play a specific way whereas Legendaries can only take as many slots as you want to play a specific way. Creates a lot more build variety and player choice.

LE sets - can be good, but usually leges and exalts are much better
- 2-4 gear pieces
D3 sets - pretty much cannot play the game without one
- takes majority of your item slots

I feel thats where my dislike for gear sets come from, like I do see that they arent mandatory in anyway but I do just feel like the concept of Set items is pointless. Why have 3 items that let you do something special when you can have 1 that does it and can be made more powerful. Unless im mistaken and Set Items roll legendary potential on them too?

set items are an no go in this typ of games, let us not say how to play.

I mean a set of 2-3 tems s fine really.. its a good feelng when you complkete a set that opens up something else. Love the VIlatrias 2 piece set..

You can have both legendaries and set item builds just for all kinds of players

Set items can work. If you make lot of them for a lot of build combinations/spells (see Grim Dawn). In Grim Dawn they do not deviate from a build philosophy but upgrade and complement it. This can also work in LE but needs more dev work.

Yeah LE could use a lot more unique items for sure, but i wouldn't want sets to become mandatory for nearly every build.

Most of them are in the place of: I am a nearly good item but even with good rolls I don't cut it. The set effects are mostly meh. They try to buff set items from time to time, but actual decent interactions are nerfed to the ground.

Not a single one of the sets looks intriguing to me, and I'm level like 81 or something, and haven't even got a full set of anything I don't think (and by full set I mean like 3 DIFFERENT pieces). I just don't see the point. I save literally ALL set pieces I find but that's hardly anything.

And again, I have not even the slightest desire to use any one of them.

There's maybe two or three item sets in this game that are useful (ie. build-enabling).

Set item are fun

The way they did it is fine tho, set items aren't the best anyway. Not like D3 where you basically only wear set or can't play the game.

yup, remove them, nothing of value will be lost
