I got a chance to play Diablo 4 in its closed beta stage, granted, its not finished, i found it boring, since the story was...not enabled, so i will withhold judgement on the story, but it overall, felt more like Diablo Immortal....and that bloody game sucked, it was pay to win.
D4 will have Battle passes, so it will just be a constant funding for seasons instead of story content.
Its how it is now-a-days.
EDIT: Just tried it....it still sucks.
Each to their own i suppose.
I find Last Epoch MILES better than poe,
If it is not to your liking don't play it.
I won't even so much as touch D4. Blizz didn't release a good game in years. They have to earn back my trust first. LE on the other side has constant updates and improves where Blizz is going backwards.
I bet your parents hate you because you seem obnoxious just to know.
The why still trolling here? Just do it. Plenty of other people have quite alot of fun with LE.
People like being handed everything, no need to grind for loot in a looter game. No need for an extensive build the passives are hard to mess up. No real need to evaluate your skills just use the in game search for "more" and get all of them.
LE is best compared to firing up D2/GD with a character editor just slap on all the perfect items and give it a go, its visceral but not long lasting.
Well patch 0.9 is "Steam only" so you haven't played this patch and it has a ton of improvements both visually and performance wise, over the last patch for 0.8.
The graphics have had a massive update this patch, and the maps have been revamped. There are lots of new revised animations for spells and monsters as well as new audio tracks for them. So the game looks crisper, sharper and less 2008.
The game now uses PC resources more efficiently. Instead of loading each spell as you use them, the animations are all pre-loaded. This means the game is more responsive with reduced system lag.
I like the crafting system, even as infuriating as it can be sometimes. If you use the loot filters right and are lucky enough to find base items with 3-4 affixes that your character uses, you can make some powerful gear. I think this system is unique to L-E, I personally haven't seen a system like it... closest is probably PoE.
Multiplayer has also been introduced to the game, it's been buggy but that is to be expected and will probably take a few months to iron out all the kinks.
There is still content to be added like a trading system for players to sell there items to others, which should be added this year. Though we can now gift friends with items you may find if you're grouped with them, which is just the starter holder for item sharing.
It's not without its problems like "Memory leak" and other bugs. But at least we know the development team are working on fixing these issue as they arise.
You really need to play this game up to and including End content like the monoliths, dungeons and the arena, to get a taste of it before making any judgement and criticising it.
Overall I give this game 8.5 / 10
