Damn... Last Epoch looks > than Diablo 4

I pre ordered Diablo 4 and will be playing the beta tomorrow and just saw a new gameplay video of it, holy.... it looks rough and bad compared to Last Epoch check it out:

What do you all think? Is it me or does Daiblo 4 beta look really bad and some sort of Diablo 3 and Immortal half bread? I don't like this video at all, why does it looks so off for some reason? Maybe I am spoiled from Last Epoch.

I have said it many times I have a feeling in the end Last Epoch will be better than Diablo 4(the offline SP and spell/skill trees + progression options alone would do it for me) and from the looks of this video visually and gameplay wise D4 right now is a ehhh. I guess those of us that have a pre ordered will know tomorrow. I wonder how they do the spells, is it runes like D3 or per skill trees like LE, can it come anywhere close to Last Epoch's spell/skill trees, runes, passive and multi class trees?

From what I have played in Last Epoch from the KS days to today and the 0.9 updates I honestly think after looking at the Diablo 4 videos the whole team should be massively proud of what they have done to this point and be 100% confident that the 1.0 release and the legit offline mode and their MP mode will make Last Epoch the premiere ARPG on the market.

I can't express how much I love Last Epoch it just feels so damn good and looks so amazing now, also you per skill/spell trees are just simply amazing. The progression and choice per build is really next level with the combo of gear, passive trees, multi classes, runes, skill/spell trees, etc. I am not sure if any ARPG does it better right now.

Anyways I hope Diablo 4 doesn't end to be bad and I really hope the team of Last Epoch feels amazing at what they have created, like for real you are all doing the video game Gods work on Last Epoch + massive thank you for all your hard work!

I am pretty sure D4 beta will go way smoother in terms of overall performance :) I hope it will be an enjoyable experience for testers, as my bitter disappointment from D3 has not faded.

Diablo 4 is just lost ark wanna be at this point. predatory monetize is the theme. I get it game developtment is expensive. But supporting blizzard is like you lot likes to suck trash into your nose. No offense. Maybe it get better in 5 years, but with seasonal battlepass pukes me off.

Yeah at this point, the surprise is that Blizzard is able to make a game that stands out in the genre.

Very few people understand that the Blizzard that made era-defining games like D2 or Starcraft, only share the name with the actual Blizzard, all the visionaries and geniuses left the company quite a while ago. Money and past prestige does not make a good game, only helps.

Yeah I 100% agree, man I just played the pre order beta... holy it is pretty bad, LE is better than it in every way. I almost think Diablo 3 is better which is odd to say. The skill tree is brutal you literally have like Fire ball which can take max 5 points and then it has only 3 branches to pick to change it'e behaviour and that is it. There is a greyed out Paragon tree and you have your gear. LE progression is insane compared, also the graphics, damn... LE looks like a next gen game in comparison, the lighting alone and detail is way better in every way for LE, even the animation!

I guess the MMO design was the trade up hey, holy and the XP grind is crazy in D4 it take forever to level up for some reason. It really makes you appreciate what the team has done for Last Epoch that is for sure. It going to be something next week when everyone tries the open beta of D4 and realise how much better Last Epoch is. Anyways I am a mega fan of D2 Resurrected and play it all the time(it's my fav), I have no idea why they literally did not build off that in every way for D4 and just add more progression etc like LE, sort of insane if you ask me.

Well... I just played the Diablo 4 beta and it is cooking my 7900 XTX on 4K MAX and that is not the case for Last Epoch since the 0.9 patches, also I have been in a hour + Que already four times and I have been kicked from the game four times... it's really unstable.

So yeah... the performance is not good in the beta that is for sure, and the que's are giving me PTSD from launch of Diablo 3 :( .

Well everyone can try it foe themselves next week(I am sure the que's will be even better, LOL) and see how it goes and compare it to Last Epoch. As they say the proof will be in the pudding.

To me from what I played in Diablo 4 I rather just play Diablo 2 Resurrected if I am honest.

Well, Diablo 4 is going to be like Diablo Immortal where you are FORCED into a multiplayer game, a very bad path to go for Diablo, but i am just a customer and gamer of Diablo series...what do i know.

I did like how they did the content in Diablo Immortal, though i hated the pay-2-win aspect.

I only payed in a closed beta of Diablo 4, the story was not even in it and for me, the story is what matters most.....story, if i can't experience the story, the game sucks and gets boring very quickly.

Yeah, I played more of Diablo 4 and it's like that(Immortal design) and I do like it as well, one thing is for sure Diablo 3 felt more like map chunks this feel more like a world you get to know and I really like that. I saw a bunch of cinematic all in engine just now and they where really cool and better than anything in D3, makes it look really bad in comparison so D4 is massively a step up in storey from what I just played, the in engine movies parts are awesome.

Did you have the in engine cinematics in the closed beta? If not 100% check out the pre order and open beta they have some really cool high quality stuff in it now, I really like it.

Man as a mega Diablo fan I think I am going to keep my pre order, I just wish I could lock out who is in my world and play solo or in a 2 - 4 player co-op group, that part is going to really suck if you can't change it. You would think solo instance or private co-op play would be huge to let less stress on their servers but I guess they don't want that :( , same with a private 4 player co-op.

Anyways it seems cool so far but it is totally different than Last Epoch that is for sure, the loot is waaaaaaaaaaaaay less and the progression is limited, seems like it will be way better than Diablo 3 in progression though so that is cool.

I like Last Epoch and I'm glad I purchased into it's early access. I'm also looking forward to seeing it improve further and I'm 100% sure I'll play more of it.

That said, I've been playing the D4 beta all day and anyone who thinks LE looks anywhere near as good as D4 needs to go to the eye doctor pronto and get their eyes checked for cataracts lol.

I'll also say while I've only played about 4-5 hours of D4 so far, but IMO I've seen enough to see that a lot of it's systems are just flat out better than LE, big things too stuff like itemization (which is kinda boring in LE).

That's before we even talk about the fact D4 has a far more interesting online/multiplayer setting, open-ish world with tons of stuff to explore, top notch cinematics and better story telling, mounts, and tons of other improvements.

Last Epoch is fun but it doesn't stand a chance.

From what I saw, this on a same screen co-op on console. I believe the graphics and quality and user interface will have plenty of adjustments for the PC. I feel sorry for console players in co-op. May as well play a game from 8 years ago....lol. D4 will perhaps at least allow cross platform. I will be waiting until closer to June and have fun with my current games till then

Diablo Beta out and Last Epoch still better so far and not just graphics but skill system and other kool features, i really love the crafting system thing to move affix shards to a separate stash. and the sorting system. so far id put Last Epoch 1st POE 2nd- Diablo 4 3rd
