But yeah, most of the game is easy. And the "difficult" content is not that hard.
If you are into it, try Hardcore/Masochist mode for a more difficult experience, or try PoE.

Great contribution, as always.
Really? Showing a streamer who played 6k hours (1year ago) and knows the game in and out, min maxxed the hell out of his char. as an example for new players what to expect?
lmao..
Not saying the game is difficult, but this is the complete other side ofc.
I see this response from "people" a lot, and you are right. It does take 6K hours to figure out how to use the in game search function for the term "more". LE really does ask a lot of its players.
I mean if you operate under the assumption that gear has >< value what is left to min-max? its the skills/passives and PoE this is not. What a silly take.
Doesn't really take 6k hours, any decent player who have played ARPGS before will come up with that fact after their first/second character if they are actually making builds themselves and not looking up from a forum.
That does not mean LE is a horrible game, I can still recommend it to people who are playing the genre for the first time. There are many ways to describe this game, but the word "difficult" is not one of them.
Perhaps a part of the perception of ease is influenced by those who would look up builds/guides instead of just playing the game. Of course you're going to have an advantage when you copy/paste what someone else has taken a few hours to figure out, which includes fairly hefty breakdowns/tutorials of the game's craft system.
I've progressed to 600 corruption and have created a couple of legendaries (2 to 3 legendary potential) to facilitate new character progression (gear new people would not have access to), and even I died a few times through the main story on a more recent character I'd made (this was after they'd revamped the whole intro campaign). Perhaps that can be blamed on over confidence, but still.
Some targets could use some tuning. Some are actually too hard relative to other similar targets, similar in context of placement or area. Examples include Profane Flesh objective in empowered monos. They have *more* than noticeably higher health than other "end-of-mono-objectives". I've actually seen people advocate in the game's chat to leave the mono and re-enter as a way of dealing with Profane Flesh objective. And then something like the Thunder Dragon, from my experience, is a complete push-over compared to something like Covenant for "end-of-mono-objectives" where Covenant is now and then brought up in the game's own chat as being too difficult. I think the developers need to consider the opponent's dps and the amount of health the opponent has and make some attempt at balancing all of that. Two or Three Covenant and I find myself no longer enjoying the game as someone who has played a Rive character through the majority of my hours played. I don't enjoy fighting something that requires you to move to that extent when your primary damage ability forces you to stop moving when you use it.
Perceived Difficulty also varies based on what you play and at what stages of the game you're playing it. Some builds are great for crushing the campaign, but will not make it past 500 corruption or be able to do T4 dungeons. If your abilities can be used without restricting mobility, it can be an advantage in many scenarios, allowing you to kite and dodge while still doing damage.
Harton's Husk in Ruin of the Empire at 500+ corruption is a ridiculous fight for someone using Rive as their primary damage ability as one of the more dramatic examples I've seen. Harton's damage rotation is unrelenting in placing stuff on the ground such that you can barely do 4/10ths of a second of damage with Rive before having to move again.
To close, if you looked up builds/guides to start with, or if you haven't done T4 Dungeons yet, or if you haven't been beyond 400 corruption, then I don't know how you can even begin to say the game is too easy.
It was satire.
Showing the video as he did was clearly misleading for new player who may think the game is really THAT easy, also with ill intent against the game devs and the users that like the game.
I entirely destroyed his argument about the video some time ago. He still chooses to mislead and upset people with it. Can't do anything about it, you know.
Perhaps what you mean to say is you do not like the video, because it is what it is. You keep bringing up the age of the video but cant point to any functional changes that invalidate it. Just as you keep attempting to gatekeep asserting that it requires some 5head brain to figure out how to find/stack the more damage nodes.
Keep on keeping on I guess, it is what happens when you get your pride all wrapped up in things. I mean it is the most likely explanation for the poor player engagement but whatever helps you sleep I guess.
That makes more sense :P i ignore him and another one here on the forums since every post (almost every post) from them is negative about the game and they want to force that opinion on to others cuz they think they have the moral high ground or something..
So my bad :)
I presume I am 'the other one' you mentioned here.
I mean yes a lot of what we say is negative or at least not positive. It's also all factually correct which realllllllly annoys people.
@OP
Yes the game is easy, Mike himself (lead developer) has confirmed that gear lacks power and yet multiple patches have happened since which not only failed to address the issue shown in that video but some changes have made it worse.
People are tricked into thinking its hard cause high corruption uses cheap mechanics like insanely high dot damage telegraphed one shot attacks (which cannot be blocked or mitigated) this gives the illusion of difficulty but actually its just like an arcade game, if you build your character just picking the correct 'more' nodes you will faceroll the game so long as you can dodge telegraphed attacks.
Keep filling in for everyone what they mean... u someday get it right.
mike (developer) has admitted the way to build is to stack "more" damage nodes.
mike has admitted that corruption is a poor metric of difficulty.
mike has admitted that gear is borked.
Sarno and Judd (CEO) have admitted that gear being the lowest portion of your player power is by design.
mike has admitted the difficulty comes from the corruption modifiers, and you can just clear them off the node.
mike has admitted that there is no incentive to engage with high level corruption.
Now if you pack all of those admissions/design choices together what do you get?
Death comes from mods unless you clear them, death comes from one shots you are supposed to walk out of, "builds" are just cramming all of the damage nodes, gear is mostly extra, pushing corruption is both tedious and unrewarding. Sounds pretty easy to me, you could even say casual.
Let me know if you disagree, I can provide the links, and you can trade in your white knight membership card and take it up with the developers because that is who you are really disagreeing with.
