I do believe that many are here as a waiting room for the new PoE league and also for D4 but for you to say that's almost everyone here it's just a ignorant argument.
I don't know how much you know about game development but maybe you fail to understand that many people wanting to play Last Epoch were waiting for the multiplayer update to go live.
I'm new to Last Epoch, in the past i played PoE and Diablo 2 and 3 and i have no interest in those games anymore, i also find it funny and ironic that many say that Blizzard has become this huge corporate monster and making ♥♥♥♥ games and then those same people seem to be super busy the hype around Diablo 4, i just ope that, seeing how "relevant" D3 was that they don't screw it up with D4, i honestly hope not because if they do I will be waiting to see people ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan and the hype dry as it always does.
The jury is still out on D4 whether it will be P2W garbage. People said Lost Ark would kill PoE, but look at LA now (only people still playing are bots and whales), and PoE nearly hit its all time peak just 6 months after LA's launch.
The point is, D4 isn't going to do anything to anyone. Yes, Last Epoch will probably lose the majority of its players once everyone finishes their builds, but that's because there's no trade and thus no drive to keep playing besides theorycrafting. It won't be because of PoE or D4. But once they get trade going, I feel like LE will be a mainstay in the ARPG conversation.
