Forged Weapon's AOE and question of Engines of War node.

I was hyped to see the change of the note "Engines of War" since it's supposed to increase both the damage area of Forge Strike AND Forged weapons it creates. However after spending 3 points (AREA+60%) I still see no differences. Even when mods are packed each of my Forged weapon seems to only hit one enemy at a time. Is it bugged or am I missing something here?
