Nope, its like co-op, you have to invite people in your party then you see them. Else its like offline but with the availability to play with others.

yes, all these games usually have at least a social hub, a town with npcs, vendors etc where online players can gather, make groups etc.

There is a Global Chat you can see ingame, it is quite active.

It's literally going to be a feature of THIS game. They're more focused on server stability right now and it will be "turned on" later. You were probably the same type of person stating, "This game doesn't need multiplayer." Yet here we are with record player numbers.

Yep, also that mmo comment is very ignorant, maybe a kid or a casual gamer? Many coop games, from outriders to anthem, back 4 blood etc have had Social Hubs.
