Iam now in the game but how can a friend join?

HIt "H", and that brings up your friends list. Add them to it. You need to use their *account* name, not their Steam name or character name. It's not connected to Steam friends list at all.

Your ACCOUNT name is the name you chose when you first logged in to do online. It shows up on the top left of that screen when you press "H", even if you're in offline mode (though you need to be online to actually play with each other).
