Report a translation problem
for instance, if you have 50% chance to inflict poison then 1 out of every two hits has a chance to inflict one stack of poison.
if you have 100% chance to inflict poison then you inflict one stack every hit. if you hit an enemy 3 times with 100% chance, you inflict 3 stacks of poison with SEPARATE TIMERS.
If you have 300% chance to inflict poison, then one hit will inflict 3 stacks of poison ON THE SAME TIMER.
Most ailments stack infinitly, but DO NOT refresh.
The more stacks you can put on an enemy in one period of time (generally 3-4 secs) the more damage your DoTs do.
Note that the hit that inflicts the DoT DOES NOT influence the DoT damage, so crits dont do anything for DoTs (unless of course theres a piece of gear that says otherwise.)
If going for a DoT build youll want to focus attack speed, proc chance, and generic % damage of whatever element you are going for (phys for bleed, fire for ignite, etc)
