I personally would go D2R over this especially with D4 coming out for that extra appreciation of playing D4. Also I would bet player numbers are better over there if your looking to play in a group. Also this games optimization is trash, I get lesser noise, heat, and more fps on cyberpunk 2077 on ultra 4K than here.
Figure post my spec's and what this runs like for me. I am not the only one it does this for and these are stats from running in their beta of the patch coming tomorrow.
(I9-9900k 128 of 4000 cl 18 ram, rx 6900 xt,( toxic aio) ssd at the time of testing, not the best PC but no potato) Playing at 4K ultra setting can't keep 60fps and usual drop under 50fps just sitting around at the stash and not even playing, getting to a best fps of about 90 for very short bursts, 99% load with temps going into the low to mid 80's and hot spot of 100. and a close to 80 cpu. I have a H170I 6-140mm fans in a push pull, 6-120mm fans for my gpu aio, with a fan on the card and two extra 140mm fans at the rear. No other game makes my PC want to set itself on fire and take off down the runway while running like trash, not cyberpunk 2077, not avengers, not skyrim, nothing other than this game and those other games all get over 60fps steadily with some going up to my 120 max and over.
Honestly, it wasn't that super bad before, and 0.9.0 seems to be making things a lot better any way. That dude is just negative.
That being said, if you never played D2(R) then you certainly should, either now waiting to see more about 0.9.0 and possible fixes/patches for problems, or at some point and just play LE now. You simply can't not have played D2(R), but it certainly has aged.
I guess the other posts on the trash performance of this game are all made by negative people as well, but usually you don't say this game is the next greatest thing since the invention of the wheel then your a hater or negative.
But 2)... if you can't run the game on ultra, try... you know... not ultra?
I'm running the game on a potato by comparison on medium settings and have a nice stable 60fps.
I have done that, my card allows me to drop in game resolution and up scales it to 4K and the frames go way up and theirs really no difference in graphical looks at all.
That being said theirs no reason I should have to do that, especially with my system running way more graphically challenging games with no performance issues compared to a game that's graphically and system demanding inferior to the other game and running the more demanding way better.
This is clearly a game not my spec's issue, like it is for many others.
I mean seriously cyberpunk 2077 running over 70 fps with my hot spot not going over 82 and temps at about 70 or give or take a few c's yet this running like it is ? Come on.
Even saying this PC is now more for aesthetics with all the rgb and not for gaming ( that will be the next build this year) it's spec's still far exceed what would be needed to run this game ( or should) at 4K ultra as other harder games on a system show that.
