Does this game ever go on sale?

I want to buy it, but 40 bucks for... this is irrational.

I'd also like some input on the quality. I recently bought a game called Waylanders on sale, and it was pretty poorly made, pretty much abandoned by the devs. I want to make sure I don't purchase another game like that. Is that truly what happened to this game?

I think the general view is to wait. If you are super into Multiplayer check back once it drops, otherwise check back when 1.0 drops. There are a lot of people who are die hard into LE, and a lot of people who really are not, so your mileage may vary but most people on both sides tend to agree on waiting.

If unless you are burning for something to play my personal advise would be to wait for the next sale AFTER 1.0, of course your desire for what you want out of LE might be different.

Not exclusive to LE but with any EA game is to check out the most glowing positive review you can find AND the most negative, assume both are 100% true and judge for yourself.

Sounds like you're already against this game for no reason. If you don't think this game is worth, then move on, it's that simple. It's literally better than Diablo 3 or PoE, but I'm not going to try to convince somebody who is hating on the game before even learning about it.

i uh. im not sure you read my statement correctly. i'll try to clarify:

im asking
1. does the game go on sale
2. do the developers still update the game on a regular basis

thank you! so no more sales during the early access period would mean the game isnt going on sale until late 2023 early 2024. hm. interesting

You said the price is irrational, assume the quality is poor, and assumed the game's abandoned by the devs. Your OP was full of implication.

Diablo 4 is going to be twice as much as Last Epoch, and isn't coming out until 2 months after originally thought (June, not April) so...

Regarding whether or not they do regular updates still: I'll go ahead and be negative on that one. No, they don't, it's been a long time since they've done one and the next is March 23 and all it is adding is the ability to play with other players (not even trade). Ridiculous. I've been waiting like 3 or 4 years for my Warlock class.
