Yup, think of it like the game had 15 classes.
TQ has 45 effective classes and GD has 36 classes for comparison.

mastery is the second permanent choice of the game. the first is picking your character

The game badly needs to steal the class preview feature from Lost Ark where you can spec into a class in a spirit world try out all their high level abilities in a test environment. It was a brilliant feature Im amazed nobody has copied.

you dont need to play very long to start a new char and to choose another mastery. so for me some permanent things are ok.

I've took about 5 characters to Mastery this last week, it does not take long.

yeah i'm not as upset about having to level another character, just more frustrated by the 30ish hours i've wasted on my first lmao.
