I was able to use chat normal until I hid the item details and reactivated it, now I have a blank space between chat and the writing and my message don't appear

Yeah when you become chatty the chat can bug. Restart the game, it will work until you are too chatty again. Hope it's fix soon!

Yeah, chat has always been notoriously buggy. Re-logging your character is currently the easiest way to resolve it.
