Max rank still only 7?

Just seems odd to me that after all these updates, the maximum rank for equipment is still only 7. In the previous games they raised to 10 as expansions were released.

What do you think, should they have raised the maximum rank in GE3 as they released DLC? I think so, it helps give a sense of progression, beyond just completing missions for cosmetics.

You get new rank 7 weapons and they raised +cap instead so that is pretty much same.
Another reason is rng is already bad with rank 7 and many already have rank 7 so i don't see the point of adding new rank.

New rank only for progression main story, these new updates are supposed to be extra episodes or background stuff. A full new story would be after this which I’m not sure if they will add some new mechanics like GE2RB or not. It seems to be possible as there might be a game expansion for the next story missions.

It ramps up to much harder without saying its beyond Rank 7, I think the Rank 7 thing is just to say, "Post story missions"
