The GE games have all had clothing "customization" options that look like the detritus from a circus clown's dumpster fire, but this is abysmally pathetic. It's bad enough that facial options are cut down from previous games, but everything you craft is absolutely slathered with duct-tape in the most ridiculously unnecessary ways possible (like all over your bare skin), and half of what you can make seems to just be the same 3 outfits with the stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ duct-tape in a different spot.

There is a female top called "stylish dress" with different versions, and the difference is literally 4 centimeters of duct-tape on your bare arms. And I'll be honest and admit it took me forever to realize what was different between them because apparently I'm a dumbass for thinking that the difference between two dresses would be something about the dresses. Whoever designed this garbage should be fired, and whoever approved it should be embarrassed as hell.

Am I being too harsh over what some people might consider only a small part of the game? Maybe, I don't know, and honestly I don't care because I'm not those people, I'm me, and to me customization is a big deal if it's in the game. I want to say I hope a patch will add more items, but realistically we all know that in the very unlikely event that more items do get added, they will have been made by the same lazy, no-talent, idiot that made the stuff we already have, so it will be more trash.

It's the same 3 outfits again, but now only one sleeve is rolled up! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YAY!!!

Your tone is probably a bit harsher then necessary, but you are 100% correct on the outfits front. The duct tape thing seems to be some random lore fashion; you can love it, hate it or be in different about it i suppose. I was hoping for more skimpy outfits like from GE1 and GE2 and im disappointed i didn't get any.

Well to be fair unlike the other 2 games Fenrir was active and God Eater were treated like heros. In GE 3 AGE are treat like slave and prisoner and Fenrir got destroyed and the material is even rarer try getting some nice clothing while being treated like a slave (granted that only for the beginning) in the year 2090~ about 40 or so year when the Aragami first appear. With Fenrir Demolish.

100% Agree. I barely like any outfits, and duct tape on the outfits or body parts is annoying as hell.
Supposedly we will get more clothing options in spring update, but probably should prepare for more duct tape.

I just want a proper pretty outfit. The coat in this game isn't as nice as first games had.

Pissing off customers is a great way to make them stop giving you money. I would think a game that already has a small niche audience would be smart enough to not do that.

The outfit variant thing is pretty dumb. They could've done a thing similar to recoloring god arc parts to their earlier versions for no extra cost.

If you want to see an example of pissing off customers, Devil May Cry DMC is perfect example of that.

This, this wouldn't even piss majority off. The thing about niche games is that their fanbase is usually very loyal. So long as they don't screw up the gameplay in the next game, everything will be golden.

Not the way I'd say it, but I already said it in other threads. No. Not about the tape, but about the whole 5 outfits in the same 4 colors and with laughable changes to each version. Though on the subject of tape, the trend seems limited to the fighter AGEs that are treated as slaves (all Pennywort non child AGEs and Lulu). I don't remember seeing the tape trend on other characters at all. Not even from CQ AGEs, though I'd need to see the cut scenes with them again to check.

In some outfits, it makes sense, as tape is used to patch them (guess nobody knows how to sew stuff). On others, it's simply some sort of WTF fashion (Zeke's nose tape and Keith's chest tape).

Now, the big issue I have with this game is that character creation offers no sliders at all...

I mean, ok, the PSP versions were limited, so I understand the limitations there. But this game is not for PSP nor for any weak console. And after the very decent character creator in SAO:FB, I would have expected way more from this one. Instead, with the ridiculously limited creator we have here, everyone looks the same. Add the poor wardrobe to make things worse, and you would start wondering why they didn't just give you a named character already..... On the other side, 20 voices in both English and Japanese.... what the royal fck...

The clothing options were a bit limited when GE1 and GE2 were initially released also. The options grew as expansions were added. We'll get more clothing, just need to be patient. The game has only been out a couple weeks.

But yeah, they kinda went overboard with the duct tape. Hope the new stuff is not so sticky.

I'm with you OP the clothing is a joke, the customization is so damn limited as well. It makes your character look like a hobo bum or maybe its the power of flex tape. Guess it was seen in the future that flex tape was the ultimate armor...lol
