the only thing that I think RB did bad compared to resurrection or the burst would be character design and character storey arcs. other that than the cut scenes and character lack a lot of polish that I expected to be there.
or maybe its nostalgia. I played the god eater burst on my PSP a long time ago but I just finished resurrection and rage burst and when I say I just finished it I mean it was exactly a week ago.
resurrection seemed to be better than I remembered while rage burst fell short a few placed but in my opinion its mechanically superior, even though I miss predator style.
this series requires precise movements and perfect timings to pull off so much so that in the endgame if you aren't prepared the most you can be a blitz can 1 shot you most of the time and there are still stronger origami that comes later. because of these reasons the game might as well have been a super hard click time events rhythm game.
the only rhythm game that i have ever played would either be the Kinect dance central 3 which was motion-based and hatsune miku project diva x demo on ps vita in which out of 5 i only like one song (the raspberry monster) it can be quite hard to like songs that aren't in a language you speak though despite my being a native Hindi(main Indian language) i like prefer English songs and listen to many Japanese songs as well.
While it's true that these game have great OSTs i generally rate songs on the basis of how much would i like to hear them so, for instance, a doomsday song even if masterfully composed would get a rating of 2 or 1 stars simply because it isn't something i would like to listen to in my normal listening session.
That stupid Nemesis song makes me want to kick babies, not cut giant monsters to ribbons.
The rest of the basic levels, the background tunes are actually good, but I do miss the wubstep "Something Butterfly/s?" and other crazy tunes, like when you trash Chrome Gawain.
I know it has been a thing even for the first GE but that worked well for me because Dayus Pita IS a pivotal element both gameplay challenge and story wise and his theme does not play by default after the story mission.
IMO they should either: Remove Ra's theme or Give it to Anubis or Give every Ashborn their own badass theme... and please... put this theme back.
