Is There Any Region Lock on Multiplater?

As i checked with my friends , we couldn't see each other lobbies , My friends located at China while i located in Malaysia.

Having the same issue with my from from the UK while I'm in the US.

for me i dont see anyone i just played yesterday found only 2 wtf lobbys

Region look via Downloadarea, its a good thing :O

I didnt get why i would play with a US dude while im in Europe.... you know ping and so`?

Region look is good, many Games need this too :O

It's "Locked" based on whatever your steam setting's Download Region is. Aka, you can just change it to a different region to see other parts of the world. That's how every game running on steam servers works.

Nope.. thats how Toukiden and God Eater games work. NEVER seen any game outside of those 2 series use the Steam download region like that. Most games using the Steam servers really dont have that

so whats the most populated download region currently?
I'm using a UK download region and only found 2 lobbies, would switch to what ever one is more popular

i mean like, its a co-op game, why can't they just be global. i played MHW with my discord friends across the globe without having to change my download area. it's weird that i don't even feel the slightest connection lag or whatsoever

yeah I set mine to japan and seems like there's a few lobbies now, though I hope they remove this exspecially if they want people to do those new raid style stages. As of now it would be just one person taking on a raid or they'll be left in the dust cause no one can do them...

I'm on Eastern US(though I played with someone from cali yesterday with no issue so I think all of US is lumped together this time). I usually see tons of lobbies open. Maybe try a US DLA?

thank you I'll give it a shot :)

edit} i tried US New York Download server and got a 4 player match out of it, seems to be a pretty good choice so I'll stick with it for now.

Still hope they remove region lock though as now I'm going to get slower downloads and if they did do this then there be 3+ pages of lobbies
